Now I had heard this already back when I bought Dillon Francis’ new EP (blogged about it with the “Falling Up” track), but after I heard it live I just HAD to share it with you guys! Hey guys so I just got back from a few days in Austin, TX for SouthBySouthwest! Went to some awesome parties, including a sick OWSLA party with Child In Disguise (CID), Dillon Francis, AlvinRisk, Kill The Noise, Zedd, Porter Robinson and Skrillex all in attendance. I also got to go to a sick French party and saw Yelle there as well as TheOctopusProject (although they are not French, they were a local band that i had heard-of before hand and ended up really enjoying their performance. Anyways, long story short I heard some new songs that i hadn’t before and once i tracked them down i figured i would share them with you guys! These next few posts will be them :)

And just to end the night on a fantastic note, here’s somethin’ new for ya! ;) Ha VIOLIN-Dubstep! YES, I SAID VIOLIN DIBSTEP! If you Haven’t heard of Lindsey Stirling, well be glad you have now! She is going to be big! And I mean mainstream big! Really going to change this whole dubstep game almost as much as Skrillex has with his much more melotic and algorithmic interpretations of ‘BASS’ music if you can catch my drift. Lindsey just released her new single with that good ‘ol Violin and her classical ways of which those of us that have heard love! Ladies and Gents… This is “Crystallize”!

Hey guys, ok so this review is much over due (few days actually). And that’s mainly because it has taken me a while to see if I even LIKED this OWSLA release… I finally have come to my senses! It is GREAT! This is just one of the TWO, BRAND-NEW, releases on OWSLA this month! CRAZY!

This little 3 track EP is well… nothing but little! It’s jam packed with some heavy hitting bass and grit that will ‘nock yo socks off’ XP ha this is Dillon Francis’s - “Something, Something, Awesome” EP of which also features Kill the Noise! Another great, and old school ‘bass head’ that just had a release of his own on the infamous record label of the great Skrillex ;P ha (AKA Sonny Moore).

So ya check this out, lemme know if you like it or not and…

Ok so Im not really a HUGE fan of this track, just cause of some of the different sounds this track has to it, that just really aren’t the usual Deadmau5 ‘off beat yet on beat’ weird kinda sound, but I will say that i DO like it! And I think it’s cool that he’s tryin this ambient/trance thing. It’s good for what it is! Anyways, Joel (AKA Deadmau5) posted the track bout three days ago on his underground Soundcloud, “fuckmylife” along with a few other stuff like “Professor Meowingtons,” Which is also just a super fun project of his and that you guys should all fo check out! Ok so this here is Deadmau5 with “Closer” !

Hey guys! What’s up!? Hope everyone’s week is going well! Mine sure aiint, but its ALLL GOOOD! Ha ok so Madeon just released this track on his soundcloud, and beatport after his little teaser post on youtube, so i finally get to share it with you! Yuhhh! Hahaha so any of you that have listened to Madeon in the past know that it’s a rare thing when we get a track from the little frenchie ;P ha and that his only other release on BP is a remix Deadmau5 picked him up to do fo the “Raise Your Weapon” record. Anyways, its a great track with that classic Madeon sound we all love! This is some AWESOME nu-pop/disco/electro/house music that definitely should not be missed! Ha ok so… well here it is! ;)

Hey Guys! So as you can probably tell I haven’t really been hunting down the heavy ‘Bangers’ right now just cause i’ve kinda been taking a break from it, and have really been liking just chillin out to some indie nu-dance shhhttuufff and i’ve also been waiting for a Gem to come around…. well ladies and gentlemen, you are in for a treat! A few weeks ago FEED ME came out with his new EP, “Feed Me’s Escape From Electric Mountain. It was released on Deadmau5’s label, “mau5trap”. Any iv’e been listening to it for a while and I must say I really like it! I mean some of feed me’s older stuff all had kinda the same “weird rock-n-roll” feel to them but this is truly something new from him and I am impressed!

Ok so well this is my favorite track on the EP (Feed Me - “Whiskers” (feat. Gemini) so… i hope you guys like it and make sure you check out/buy the rest of his EP! Great stuff!

Nifty little something I came across in an old music catalogue of mine that I really like, this is Atlas Sound - Walkabout (with Noah Lennox). This is a great piece from Atlas Sound that includes the ever so recognizable voice of Noah Lennox (AKA Panda Brear and founding member of the Animal Collective). This single has an awesome mix of which you can definitely notice all the different pseudonym musicians sounds that went into it (ie. Animal Collective, Atlas, Panda Bear, etc.) Awesome track if you like any of the music from any of those “alias’s.”

Now I am sure you probably have already heard of this track if you “get out” from time to time by the slightest means! I mean the boys got the song on a Chevy commercial for their new car, the Sonic, with over a million views on Youtube that aired multiple times on the SUPERBOWL if I remember correctly. Star Slinger! Oh my god! Ok so I didn’t know about this guy (Real name, Darren Williams) until just recently, and wow! Just Wow! This Hip-Hop/R&B/Indie-pop producer is awesome! Some really great music here! Right now im listening to his album, Volume 1, and I must say, I like EVERY song on here! It’s hard to just pick one track to post so I picked the first one that I had ever heard, Mornin’ , if you like this style, go buy the album! Pitchfork said a while back that, “he combines the hyper soul sampling of Kanye West or Dipset producers Heatmakerz with a bubbling psychedelic of J.Dilla’s spacier moments.” And I can definitely agree with that statement! Go check this guy out!

Hey guys! Ok so the debut album from Chiddy Bang, Breakfast, just came out this week. I must say that even though their little rendition of Kids by MGMT, Opposite of Adults kinda got old and mundane for me pretty quickly, this album truly surprised me. It is stunning! Absolutely fantastic! The guys - Chidera “Chiddy” Anameg and Noah “Xaphoon Jones” Beresin - really killed it with this one! Some of you may already recognize the audio provided as the Mind your Manners (single) that the duo released awhile ago. It’s one of my favorite tracks on the album, featuring the blissful samples from the Swedish pop band - Icona Pop . Another favorite track of mine on there is Out 2 Space (feat. Gordon Voidwell)

Well anyways, go check out Breakfast I promise you won’t regret doing so! And Please support these guys by going out and buying their stuff if you can. They truly desirve it!
